The film critic Roger Ebert was one of the most well known names in the business. Winner of the Pulitzer prize, he was a popular face due to his long running TV program and the creation of the ‘thumbs up’ system to classify a good film. This documentary shows the last months of Ebert’s life, alongside his wife Chaz and his family. We see his fighting spirit and good mood in the struggle against the cancer that stopped him from speaking. Martin Scorsese is the executive producer of this feature film, also based on the memoires Life Itself, written by Ebert in 2011. Sundance Festival 2011.
