Gregório is a rustic and idealistic peasant, who lives frustrated in the hamlet of Rosillas. Arrogant and audacious, he wants to reclaim the waters of the old family resevoir, which have been deviated by Coronel Igrejas — an Argentinian land owner who acts in league with the mayor of the hamlet to benefit his own vineyard. Gregório must face the scorn of his neighbours, the corruption and power of the ruling class, putting on hold his love for his son, his care of his parents and a love affair. When everyone decides to leave how does the one who stays on the land survive?
Alejandro Quiroga Guerra
Born in Bolívia, scriptwriter, director of photography and filmmaker. He studied Social Communications at UCB. His previous work, Malditos Gatos (2013) and Ginger's Paradise (2020), have been screened in many international festivals. At the moment he is working on the post-production of the documentary Promesantes, the development of the feature The Father-in-law of My Boyfriend an is co-scriptwriter of the series Timecode.
