Maria da Graça is a beautiful, dreamy young woman who moves to the big city with the intention of taking vocal lessons. When there, she stays at her aunt Zuleika’s home and is tormented by her cousins Lidinha and Mauricinho, who make her work as a slave. In the midst of so many problems, Maria meets small Duda, a neighbor; and clumsy Bob, who becomes her friends. Bob is the materialization of the prince in Maria’s dream, and will help her become a star. A 1990s classic, in a special screening to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Tizuka Yamasaki
Nasceu em 1949, em Porto Alegre. É sócia das produtoras Scena Filmes e Filmes D’America. Estudou cinema na Universidade de Brasília e na Universidade Federal Fluminense. Além do cinema, destacou-se profissionalmente como diretora de novelas, minisséries para TV e óperas. Dirigiu filmes como Gaijin – Os caminhos da liberdade (1980), Parahyba mulher macho (1983), Popstar (2000) e Encantados (2014).
