In his new film David Cronenberg (A History of Violence and Cosmopolis) tells the story of the Weiss family, a typical Hollywood family. Sanford is a psychologist who made his fortune with self-help books. Christine, his wife, spends most of her time taking care of her son Benji’s career. He is a 13-year-old child star who has just got back from rehab, where he’s been since the age of 9. To complete the family, Agatha has just been let out of the asylum where she was treated for criminal pyromania. Julianne Moore won the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Festival 2014.
David Cronenberg
Nasceu em 1943 em Toronto. Formou-se em literatura pela Universidade de Toronto e, a partir dos anos 1980, se estabeleceu como um dos maiores nomes do cinema de horror moderno, a partir de filmes como Scanners (1981), Videodrome (1983) e A mosca (1986). Nas últimas décadas, dirigiu filmes mais diversos como Um método perigoso (2011) e Cosmópolis, filme com o astro Robert Pattinson exibido no Festival de Cannes 2012.
