He is a journalist, screenwriter, professor, producer and director. As a screenwriter, he has worked at TV channels Bandeirantes, Cultura and Gazeta. He wrote the screenplay for the short film Nem isso, based on a work by Luis Fernando Veríssimo. Mazzaropi is his first feature film.
