Amadeo, a small-town employee at a bar, is one of the area’s best foosball players and he is in love with Laura. His life is shaken up by the arrival of Grosso, a fellow native who went on to become one of the world’s best soccer players and is now back and bent on taking revenge for the only defeat he ever suffered. But Amadeo discovers something magical: the players of his beloved game talk, and how! Together they will embark on a journey to save Laura and her town. This is Juan José Campanella’s (Son of the Bride and The Secret in their Eyes) first 3D animation.
Juan José Campanella
Born in 1959, in Buenos Aires. He studied Engineering in Argentina and film in America, where he established himself. In 1984, he directed his first feature film, Victoria 392. He got his first Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film for The Son of the Bride (2001), and won the award in 2009 with The Secret in their Eyes. He also directed films such as Same Love, Same Rain (1999) and episodes of series such as Law & Order, House and 30 Rock.
