Asako and Baku live an intense and overwhelming romance, but one day the temperamental Baku disappears. Two years later, after moving from Osaka to Tokyo, Asako meets Baku’s perfect double. The same director who attracted attention in 2015 with a film more than five hours long, the acclaimed Happy Hour, returns with this work, based on a book by the Japanese writer Tomoka Shibasaki, that traces the trajectory of a love, or, to be exact, two loves, found, lost, displaced and recovered. Nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
