Edith, a 45-year-old textile worker, sees her life turn upside down when the factory where she has always worked at decides to move its operations from France to Tangier. The employees have only two options: to move with the factory to Morocco or unemployment. Emotionally distant from her son and with no other emotional bonds in her homeland, Edith decides to leave everything behind and start a new life in the North of Africa, seeing herself forced to face a new social and cultural reality. Gaël Morel
Nasceu em Villefranche-sur-Saone, na França. Trabalhou como ator em filmes como Rosas selvagens (1994) e Relações distantes (2001), ambos do diretor André Téchiné, e escreveu e dirigiu filmes como Full Speed (1996), Under Another Sky (Prêmio FIPRESCI no Festival de Toronto 2002), Three Dancing Slaves (2004), Perigosa obsessão (Festival de Cannes 2007) e Our Paradise (2011).
