An investigation into the American dependence on oil, from its beginnings in the 20th century to the current monopoly and worldwide damage, from pollution to wars in the Middle East. There are interviews with specialist witnesses and big names of the oil market like John Hofmeister, ex-president of Shell, and Peter Goldmark, ex-president of the Rockefeller Foundation. The film also presents less polluting and more financially sustainable fuel alternatives.
Joshua Tickell, Rebecca Harrell Tickell
Joshua nasceu em 1975 em Ohio. Ativista ambiental, viajou por cerca de 25 países, escreveu dois livros e criou, ao lado de sua esposa Rebecca, a The Veggie Van, ONG dedicada a promover a causa do biodiesel. Rebecca nasceu em 1980, também em Ohio, e atua como produtora e especialista em educação e meio ambiente. Ele dirigiu e ela produziu Fuel (2008), e codirigiram Freedom (2011) e The Big Fix (2012), entre outros.
