A film-essay about the layers of temporalities contained in the urban landscape of Rio de Janeiro's port region. A complex collage of sounds, archival materials and images that record the last 10 years of a gentrifying urban reform, and reveal the colonising and exploitative character of the last two hundred years of the city's occupation.
Ricardo Pretti e Julia De Simone
Ricardo Pretti is co-founder of the production company Alumbramento. Director and co-diretor of seven features, all of which screened in festivals nationally and internationally, receiving numerous awards. Julia De Simone is a director, scriptwriter and researcher. Partner of Mirada Filmes, she has been dedicated to audiovisual production since 2003. In cinema, she directed and wrote the scripts for the documentaries Aracati (2015) and Romance de Formação (2011).
