Fifteen-year-old Bruno has always ignored the violence and prejudices generated by the male chauvinist culture which surrounds him. However a degenerative illness causes him to become gradually blind. Now, as he navigates his adolescence, Bruno has to learn from differences and perceive life with other eyes. Awarded Best International Film at Mar del Plata Festival 2022.
Haroldo Borges
Born in 1977, in Bahia, he is part of the Plano 3 Films collective, which produced the documentary Jonas and the Backyard Circus (2015) and the feature Son of Ox (2019), among others. Jonas premiered at IDFA and received various international awards. Winner of the Audience Prize at Málaga Cinema Festival, Son of Ox had its world premiere at Busan International Festival and its Latin-American premiere at Guadalajara Festival. Bittersweet Rain is his second feature.
