Based on his disturbing Journal, Secrets From Putumayo traces the harrowing picture discovered by Casement of an industrial-extractive system based on killings and slave labor in the midst of the Amazon jungle - a real green hell.
Aurélio Michiles
Aurélio Michiles nasceu em Manaus. Estudou no Instituto de Artes e Arquitetura-UnB (1970/73). Em 1974, no Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro - MAM, estudou montagem. Na Escola de Artes Visuais Parque Lage (1977/78), ele estudou Artes Cênicas. Trabalhou no cinema e na televisão para a TV Globo, TV Bandeirantes e SBT. Dirigiu diversos documentários para o público da TV Cultura e aclamado pelo longa-metragem O cineasta da selva (1997).
