Summer 1996, coast of Alagoas. Tamara is enjoying her last weeks in the fishing village where she lives, before leaving to study in Brasília. One day, she hears people speaking of an adolescent nicknamed "Heartless" because of the scar on her chest. Over the summer, Tamara feels a growing attraction for this mysterious girl. Screened at Venice Festival 2023.
Tião e Nara Normande
Tião was born in Recife. In 2008, his film Muro won the Un Regard Neuf award at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs of Cannes. His feature Animal Político (2016) premiered at Rotterdam Festival. Nara Normande is a filmmaker and animator from Alagoas. She made the short films Heartless (2014) — co-directed by Tião —, Starry Day (2011) and Guaxuma (2018), exhibited and awarded at Cannes, Gramado, Havana and other festivals.
