Martin is a talented screenwriter and novelist having problems with his career. That is when, at his daughter’s 21st birthday party, he meets the mysterious Angelique. Two days later, the girl’s body is found in a canal, which prompts the arrival of her twin sister Therese. Martin is intrigued by the similarities between Angelique’s death and his wife’s, ten years earlier, for which he is still considered a suspect.
