Hank Palmer is a lawyer in an important big city firm. He goes back to the small town of his birth to help his father, a local judge who has been accused of murder. Hank will do whatever it takes to discover the truth, and in the process he reconnects with his father who he had grown apart from. Starring Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall, the feature length is the first drama by director David Dobkin, known for comedies such as The Wedding Crashers and Shanghai Nights amongst others. Selected for the Toronto Film Festival 2014.
David Dobkin
Nasceu em 1969 em Washington. Graduou-se em cinema e televisão pela Tisch School of the Arts da Universidade de Nova York. Começou sua carreira no cinema como assistente de produção em Adoradores do diabo (1987), de John Schlesinger. Estreou na direção de longas com a comédia policial Clay Pigeons (1998). Seguiram-se sucessos de bilheteria como Bater ou correr em Londres (2003), Penetras bons de bico (2005) e Eu queria ter a sua vida (2011).
