This is the story of a clandestine military organization, known as the Wagner Group, the armed arm of a world power, and its iron-fisted leader, hoping to extend his influence around the world. Officially, this army does not exist. It can thus escape international law. In this world, nothing is forbidden, including the worst human rights violations. The documentary tells the impact this army has had on our world and the risks it poses to international security. It also tells the story of the struggle of courageous citizens whose fates have been impacted by this secret group.
Benoît Bringer
French journalist and awarded director. He is part of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) that received the Pulitzer Prize for the investigation of the Panama Papers. In 2007, Bringer left France 2 to cover Pakistan and Afghanistan as a correspondent. Back in France, he became an independent filmmaker.
