Brother and sister Maggie and Milo live at opposite ends of the country and don´t get on. After a family reunion Milo decides to spend some time with his sister in the small town they grew up in. While Maggie struggles in her unhappy marriage to sweet-natured Lance, Milo gets closer to Rich, an English professor he has a complicated past with. Now closer, the brother and sister make an effort to understand where it was they went so wrong. The cast includes names such as Ty Burrel from the series Modern Family and Bill Hader from Saturday Night Live and Superbad (2007). Sundance 2014.

Nasceu em 1976 nos EUA. Estreou como diretor com True Adolescents, exibido na edição de 2009 do festival South By Southwest. Colaborou também em dois roteiros da 20th Century Fox e é membro fundador do Fox Writers Studio. É pós-graduado em cinema pela New York University e tem bacharelado em teatro pela University of Washington. The Skeleton Twins é seu segundo longa.
