In the periphery of Delhi, in India, Titli the youngest brother in a violent gang of car thieves desperately tries to escape the ‘family’ business. His plans are thwarted when his brothers marry him off against his will. To his surprise Titli finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, Neelu, who also has her own frustrations. Together they make a strange pact to break the stranglehold of Titli’s family roots. But does escaping mean that they will be free? Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2014.
Kanu Behl
Nasceu em 1980 na Índia. Depois de trabalhar como ator no teatro e no rádio, ingressou no Instituto Satyajit Ray de Cinema e TV para se especializar em direção de cinema. Seu primeiro documentário, An Actor Prepares (2006), foi exibido no festival Cinéma du Réel. Em seguida, dirigiu e produziu Found Him Yet? (2007) e Three Blind Men (2008). Em 2010, coescreveu LSD (Love, Sex & Betrayal).
