At 19 years old, Stratos commits a crime of passion and spends half of his life in prison, under the protection of Leonidas, a crime boss. There is a gang fight in prison, Leonidas saves his life and Stratos never forgets this. Now free, at night he works in a bakery and during the day as a hitman. All the money he earns he gives to Yorgos, Leonidas’s brother, in order to fund his escape. All that matters to Stratos is to pay off his debt, he is not interested in anything else. Yannis Economides
Nasceu em 1967 em Limassol, no Chipre. Estudou cinema em Atenas e, depois de uma carreira em curtas-metragens e documentários, estreou seu primeiro longa de ficção, Matchbox, em 2003. Seu filme seguinte, Soul Kicking (2006), foi exibido na Semana da Crítica do Festival de Cannes. Com Knifer (2010), ganhou sete prêmios da Academia Grega de Cinema, incluindo melhor filme e direção.
