The ruins of the Cine Continental, abandoned in the wilderness of Paraíba state, are the starting point of this film about cinema, with interviews with Ariano Suassuna about his incredible childhood memories of cinemas in the countryside, and of filmmakers like Hector Babenco, Julio Bressane, Andrew Wajda, Vilmos Zsigmond, Ruy Guerra, Ken Loach, Béla Tarr, Gus Van Sant, Jia Zhangke, among others. He answers questions like “Why do you make films?” and “What is cinema for?”
