Majored in Film from Darcy Ribeiro School, he directed shorts such as My Aunt, My Cousin (2008), The Lady of Peixoto (2011), and Tales of the Tide (2013), which have received awards at several Brazilian festivals. He also works as screenwriter, editor, and assistant of directors such as Nelson Pereira dos Santos and Allan Ribeiro. This is his first feature film.
