Yella leaves her small town in the eastern part of Germany for a promising job and a new life. In Hanover, she meets Philipp, a young executive at a private equity company who gives her a job as his assistant. Although she has no prior experience in the field, she soon finds that she has a special talent for dealing with unscrupulous businessmen. Negotiations turn into an exciting game.
