In a not so distant future, in a barren land with barely any water, the last remaining few of the human race are struggling to survive with the diminished natural resources. Ernest lives in this dystopian scene with his children, Jerome and Mary, defending his farm from invaders and working on the land, hoping to rejuvenate the soil. Jake Paltrow
Nasceu em 1975 em Los Angeles. Filho do cineasta Bruce Paltrow e irmão da atriz Gwyneth Paltrow, começou sua carreira na televisão, onde dirigiu episódios da série Nova York contra o crime. Sua primeira participação no Sundance Film Festival se deu em 1995 com o curta An Eviction Note. Voltou ao festival na sua estreia em longas com Sonhando acordado (2007). Continua a trabalhar também em televisão, dirigindo séries como Boardwalk Empire.
