Are You Ready to Debate with the Filmmakers of Première Brasil?
Première Brasil Debates has always been a popular section of Festival do Brasil, and is where Rio festival audiences have the chance to come face-to-face with filmmakers and the the actors.
The meetings and debates give the opportunity for people to find out more about how the films in Première Brasil's competitive and New Trends sections, as well as the State of Things exhibition, were made and why.
Each evening films in the Première Brasil competition are screened at Estação NET Gavea 4 and 5, while films in New Trends will screen in Estação NET Gavea 1.
The films will then screen the following afternoon, followed by the directors, actors and crew members taking part in an open discussion with the audience. The discussion mediated by an industry insider.
In 2023, the competitive debates of Première Brasil are taking place at the Cine Odeon - CCLSR, while the Estação NET Rio is the venue for the talks on New Trends and The State of Things.
A film from the Hors Concours programme will also be discussed after the screening at Estação NET Rio.
