Jury President
The president of the Première Brasil jury this year at Festival do Rio is the Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz. A man who is no stranger to the festival or Première Brasil having won the prestigious best director Redentor on three occasions. Most recently in 2011 for O Abismo Prateado having won previously for Viajo Porque Preciso, Volto Porque to Amo in 2009 (with Marcelo Gomes) and O Céu de Suely in 2006.
