Priscilla, Queen of Rio for One Very Special Night
A modern cinema cult and camp classic that needs no introduction, got a special gala screening on Saturday, 15 October at the Cine Odeon in the presence of its director, a man who is no stranger to Festival do Rio.
The film is director Stephan Elliott’s “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” from, if you can believe it, 1994. If you have never seen it, shame on you, and if you have seen it you know you want to see again and again and this was a rare opportunity to enjoy it on the big screen and with an audience.
While in Rio Stephan has been teasing and hinting that a second “Priscilla” may be possible and on the way.
