While a large part of the Festival do Rio l Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival is targeted towards the resident Brazilian cinema going public of Rio, it also has a very strong industry section that is covered by RioMarket that offers seminars, Master Classes, industry screenings, one-to-one scheduled meetings, and networking events covering film, home entertainment and television. It also covers everything from production to distribution.

For the first time it will be possible in Brazil and abroad for interested parties to be able to follow part of the event through the Filmocracy platform, which can also be accessed through the RioMarket official website. The hybrid format will allow the speakers to participate through the internet, opening the opportunity for a greater number of robust international contributions.

RioMarket 2022 brings a new feature: the entire program is completely free this year, including the business roundtables, which count on the participation of around 50 companies, among networks, distributors, streaming companies and producers, receiving project proposals for acquisition, distribution or co-production.

Another addition is "talks", during which industry professionals and creative talent will debate, in conversation format, subjects related to their careers or specific themes.

Also present in the RioMarket program are the producers of the films being exhibited in Premiere Brazil who will meet on panels open to the public to discuss aspects of the development and production of their projects, opening up discussions relevant to the Brazilian cinema industry.
