Terence Davies RIP
Sad news from Great Britain that the great British director and screenwriter Terence Davies has died at the age of 77. He visited Rio for the festival and on 5 October 2000 he introduced his film “The House of Mirth”, with Gillian Anderson, that opened Festival do Rio that year. A number of his films have been screened at the festival over the years. The festival’s thoughts are with his family and friends.
