“Women in Film” was the major panel discussion at RioMarket on Thursday (12 October) .
A diverse and international group of influential women in the film and audiovisual industry, including Chiara Tilesi, Lucia Puenzo, Maira Oliveira, Laís Bodanzky, Ilda Santiago and with mediation by Joana Henning, discussed the role of women in the entertainment industry and the challenges and achievements they face, especially in Brazil
The conversation covered issues related to gender equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as the prospects and opportunities for women in the future of the industry both in front and behind the camera. This panel offered an important platform for reflection and discussion on how women can continue to advance and contribute significantly to the audiovisual industry, making it a vital conversation for everyone interested in promoting gender equity and diversifying on-screen storytelling.
